Wk 3a - Introduction to Adobe Illustrator
(I) Watch Mr. Webb's demonstration and post notes to do the following on your blog:
- Creating a new canvas (document)
(Press Command+N to make a new document)
Size= LETTER, Orientation=Portrait

Go to Window>Workspace>Reset Essentials
To reset Adobe Illustrator when you first open the app.

- Interface navigation, drawing tools (Illustrator's shapes & using the Pen Tool)

PEN TOOL (P)
The Pen tool allows you to create lines and curves.
- Setting the Fill Color, and the Stroke Color
- Saving file formats (saving for Adobe Illustrator editing vs. Saving an image for the web)

Monochromatic colors are all the colors (tints, tones, and shades) of a single hue.

                                                                     

A calligram is a poem, phrase, or word in which the typeface, calligraphy or handwriting is arranged in a way that creates a visual image.

This calligram is showing a rainbow while spelling the word rainbow.

This calligram is showing small gummy bears  placed to spell the words gummy bear.

This pictogram  shows all the things you may go through during school.

           This pictogram displays different pictures of things that are seen on a daily basis.

This pictogram shows what occurs during the day someone gets married.

A rebus is an allusional device that uses pictures to represent words or parts of words.

1. The first picture is a tent,which is usually seen near a campsite or at parks to let the campers know they're at or near a campsite.

2. The second image is a bench,which is seen at parks or amusement parks.Its purpose is to help people find where to sit or eat.

3.This picture is a of a school.This image means that you're in the area or near a school.It is usually found near or in the area of a school.

4.This is a picture of a man and a woman,which means this a men's and a women's restroom.It is most likely found in a restaurants and museums.

5.This is a sign that means there is parking there.Its purpose is to let drivers know where they are supposed to park.
